Honestly I never seen a deep sea fisherman, muskie, bass, walleye, catfish, or any other fisherman use this knot. It's always uni or polymer knot. Why have 3 tags to cut? Just shows there are 3 weak areas in knot. Oh, thanks for saying what knot it is. I'm better off using 10 overhand knots. That would be stronger. Did barney the purple dinosaur teach you this knot?

You can tie braid directly to frogs and jigs though and other topwaters are good with braid

Hell i just regular knot it and use the sticker from my lighter to keep it down. I never let myself get to the point of being spooled

Do not listen to the old boat part my parents bought me an older John boat for about 1500 and it has worked really great except for it needed a trance sum rebuild which costed like 100 bucks and the boat works perfectly seats three people and we built a deck and I love fishing off it so go out there and buy an old boat if you want to

Don’t learn a clinch knot. They’re ass and they come untied. You should learn an improved clinch knot. It’s only one extra step.

I've never had a problem tying braid directly to lures. Its what I caught my PB 42" Redfish with, using a mirrodine suspension lure. Trolling is a different story tho.

when you pull knot up you need to use saliva to lubricate a knot this stops friction burning up the pulling knot together. so many knots and do the job saying best is opinion and ego.
